Re: Can't print 2 A5 pages on an A4 shee

I'm confused by your responses. Do I have to amend my Word document so that the page size is A4, then tell TM to print 2 of the pages on one A4 sheet? At present the page size is A5, portrait, no mention of A4, as that worked in MS Word. I successfully printed the document by exporting it to pdf, th...

Re: Grrrrrrr

There is no logical explanation as to why PlanMaker should behave in the way you describe. Have you tried running the included sample script "Calendar.bas"? If yes, does it work? My latest script is also displaying the "Insert Function" dialog. It appears when I step through and it executes the pm....

Can't print 2 A5 pages on an A4 shee

I'm trying to set up my document so that two A5 portrait pages print on an A4 sheet of paper.
The result is two 8.5 by 12.5 cm miniature versions of my pages.
How do I persuade TM to print them properly?

My printer setup is shown in the attached screenshots.
Thanks in advance

Re: Cell contents

I'm not using variables, so I'll have to remember to cast the cell's value to the correct data, if not string.
Thanks

Re: Cell contents

Yes it seems that all cell values have to be converted to numbers before being used for arithmetic, so + is identical to & it concatenates strings.

The script now works as expected

Cell contents

Does Basicmaker treat all cell values as strings? This statement concatenates the values in the two cells addded: workRange.Cells(i, 11).Value = workRange.Cells(i, 11).Value + workRange.cells(c, 2).Value i.e. 0 + 25 = 25, but 25 + 50 = 2550 The funny thing is that larger values are shown as e.g.5.02...

Re: Grrrrrrr

Just a thought... After each test I press Ctrl-F2 to reset the program, aas I thought that this would clear everything and force BasicMaker to recompile. Some of the errors that have frustrated me have disappeared when I returned to BasicMaker after closing the program, is it possible that my change...

Re: Grrrrr

Can I attach it to a PM, with data. I don't really want the data to be made public and the script won't work without it. The problems that I mentioned yesterday have disappeared and I'm not sure why. For some reason the init sub-routine is not initialising the 2nd and 6th cells that it is supposed t...

Re: Grrrrrrr

Yes the calendar macro works. When I copied the same code from a sample macro it worked: Set pm = CreateObject("PlanMaker.Application") pm.Visible = True 'Not sure why this is necessary, but the macro fails without it pm.Activate 'Does what it says - activates PlanMaker Curiouser and curiouser. Now ...

My first Successful Macro

I am a keen photographer and use software that creates .xmp files for each image that it modifies. An image is often deleted leaving behind its .xmp file. Over time there can be 1,000s of these little files cluttering up my system, so I wrote a macro that creates a (windows) batch file to delete the...

Re: basic maker tutorial and samples?

Has anyone created a successful macro that is more complex than "Hello World"? The examples in the Samples folder are too trivial to be useful.
Support for importing vba has been promised since at least 2009! It's still a pipedream.

I'm trying to convert a VBA macro for use with Planmaker and in 3 lines of coding have found 3 things that don't work as described in the Basicmaker manual. Now I'm completely stuffed. My (modified as a result of searching the code sample and BM help) is as follows: Dim pm as Object Set pm = CreateO...
