Have you turned off "Smart Quotes"? On the Edit Tab under Options, try selecting "None" in the drop down list for Smart Quotes.

Why is there no horizontal line object on the ribbon interface? I know I can customize the ribbon to install one but that is a pain and it isn't in the same place with other objects. It is still in the same old place on the traditional interface.

The capability already exists in Textmaker (and has for the last few releases I know of) but it's slightly different from Word. After your right-click, select "Character" from the pop-up and that brings another pop-up that allows access to most any font characteristic you might want.

The command that you're looking for in PM is "Input Validation". The Help file has a pretty complete description, just search on that phrase.
