Cannot save tab colours

Cannot save tab colours
Hello
I can apply different colours to worksheet tabs via Properties but after closing and reopening, the colours have not been saved.
Is there a solution to this?

I will investigate this. Please save in .xlsx file as a workaround.

Re: Cannot save tab colours
Thanks for taking trouble. I've looked at my save options but I only have plain xls options, no xlsx
Re: Cannot save tab colours
Are you working with FreeOffice or SoftMaker Office 2016 (look in Help=>About)?

Re: Cannot save tab colours
I have FreeOffice 2016
Re: Cannot save tab colours
I tried to reproduce that issue in pmw16 rev.767.0516 (FreeOffice):
1. Open PlanMaker with a blank, new worksheet
2. Change the color of the worksheet tab in the worksheet properties (right mouse click on the worksheet tab)
3. Add two other worksheets and change the worksheet tab color here as well
4. Save the file in .xls (Excel 2003) and ..pmd (PlanMaker 2016) file format
5. Close and re-open the files
=> All colors are still there.
Did I something wrong?

Re: Cannot save tab colours
Yes I can replicate this with saving in .xls and it works perfectly allowing coloured tabs to be retained.
I've carefully checked my existing files Properties which correctly show Excel .xls 2003 and opening with PlanMaker.
I have the feeling that the problem may be connected with the fact that my files were originally in .ods format which I converted
into .xls when I saw Planmaker does not support .ods. I can't see why the conversion should have resulted in a tab problem but it seems like it has.
I have a workaround as a result of your experiment for I can add new sheets with coloured tabs by first opening PlanMaker, copying my existing data into them and replacing my old sheets with the new.
Thanks very much for your help, this is a minor glitch and I dont think it's worth spending any more of your time on it.
