Post by PolarBear » Sat Oct 29, 2011 10:35 pm

The Product Page SoftMaker Office 2010 for Linux:
And the Tips & Tricks page Installing SoftMaker Office on 64-bit Linux systems:
don't have description about the requirements to run SM Office. Can you please give a quick summary?

- Which Linux distro do you suggest? 32 or 64 bits?
- Type of recommended Desktop Environment (Gnome, KDE, XFCE, LXDE, E17, etc)
- Any particular runtime environment? Ex: Java JRE version X?
- CPU, RAM , Video?
- Any other tips to have decent user experience

Thanks in advance.

SoftMaker Office 2010 for Linux runs on any X Window-based x86 Linux. If KDE or Gnome are available, and it's a 32-bit Linux, we inherit the colors and fonts from the system. If not, we use our own fonts and colors. As long as you have at least 256MB RAM to make your OS run smoothly, SoftMaker Office should always run.
