After cell input, before hitting [enter], PlanMaker lets me use the arrow keys to move up, down, or right... but it won't let me move left... even if I disable "in-cell editing."

I'd like to be able to move left on an as-needed basis (I don't want to set "left" as the option for "move selection after input").

FYI... Using the arrow key to move left in this manner is possible in Open Office and Microsoft Office.

I must be misunderstanding you, because I cannot do what you are suggesting with OpenOffice. Can you try to reexplain this please? I would love to do what you are suggesting... but I MUST be misunderstanding you.

Jim: Thanks for looking into this!

My actions:
I click on a fresh cell.
I type a number in the cell.
Instead of pressing [enter], I press the left arrow key.

Desired results:
Save the number I typed in the cell I was editing.
Then make the cell to the left the active cell.

This is me, working in Open Office:

I am in and out today, but I will look at this as soon as I come home this evening... I think what you are describing here is what I experience, but I will confirm this in a few hours and we can take it from there.

Interesting... okay... I can duplicate this problem. I actually wanted this to do this, but I agree it would be nice to be able to turn this off as well. I guess as an intermediate alternative you could just direct the enter key to go to a different spot if this change in direction is constant... Otherwise maybe when the SM folks get back on Monday, they might have a comment or suggestion.

Cheers
PS. Does this on the Linux platform too.

At the moment you can set the direction of the cell-selection after input in a cell in Tools=>Options=>Edit, but you'll need to press enter.
I'll refer a feature request to our developers and inform you here as soon as I have more information.

Hello,

you can change that behavior in the next version of PlanMaker.
