Warning with Word 2010

Post by Nodocman » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:52 pm

Just started using TextMaker 2008, and it's very good. The only thing I discovered as a definite problem is when I create a document with TextMaker and save as MS Word XP/2003, and that document is opened in MS Office 2010 there is a red band across the top of the page and a warning that this may be a malicious file.

I have need to share my docs with other people (and all of them use some newer version of MS Office) and this could be a nuisance to have to always preface the email with (The doc is really ok, it's my word processor causing this scary warning).

Did anyone notice this or figure out out to get rid of this problem?

Thanks, Nodocman

This seems to be a false alert of MS Word 2010.

Only TextMaker 2008 is affected. TextMaker 2010 and 2012 work around this issue by generating different .doc files.
