I'm using a Windows virtual print driver to open and "print" my files in an automated fashion. This is working great with TextMaker but not with PlanMaker or Presentations 2008. Basically the driver just opens the file using the default application (PlanMaker for instance) and triggers a print command. This works for TextMaker files but not PlanMaker or Presentations. Any Ideas?

I've forwarded your inquiry to our developers and will inform you as soon as I have news regarding this issue.

Our developers need more information to help you:

For example, we have no clue about what you mean with "Windows virtual print driver". Furthermore we need to know in which way you are printing: Do you manually open the files, do you use the /p paramter for printing, OLE Automation, or even DDE? Please give us as much details as possible.

I'm using Print2Flash. http://print2flash.com. It installs in windows as a virtual printer - printer driver. When you print to this "printer" it just saves a .swf file of the printed contents. Instead of manually invoking the print process I'm using their OLE automation API so I can convert documents in an automated fashion.

More about their OLE automation API here:
http://print2flash.com/help/AboutAutomationAPI.php

Thanks, and if you need more info or need me to test anything please let me know.

Just following up to see if there's any news. Is this something that I may be able to work around in some way or is it going to require an update to the program?

Thanks!

Our developers have encountered some printing-issues with PlanMaker and Presentations. All these issues have been fixed now and will probably be part of the next service pack for SoftMaker Office 2008.

Also, what sort of time frame until that service pack is available? (rough estimation is fine)

Hello,

we are currently testing the service pack, so it will be released in a few weeks.
