Slide Sorter Problem

Post by Billy Floyd » Fri Mar 07, 2008 5:02 am

Hello-

I'm building a presentation using SoftMaker Presentations 2008, rev 484.

When I switch from the main "slide" view to the Slide Sorter view, the work area goes blank. The toolbars remain, but there is nothing but white space where the slide thumbnails should be.

If I close the file and reopen, then I can enter the Slide Sorter view. It does not seem necessary to quit the program itself.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Never mind!

I just noted that what is happening is that when I switch to Slide Sorter, I am taken to the bottom of a very large work window. I have about 100 slides in my presentation, and they only occupy about the top 20% of the workspace; the rest is blank.

Scrolling up brings me to the slides.

I do not know if this is a bug or a feature, but at least it is no longer a problem for me.

Hello,

to reproduce this, I had created a presentation with 150 slides. I clicked on slide-thumbnail 140 on the left side (in slide mode) and changed to slide sorter view. Result: It happened what you have described: Blank space because the slide sorter started at the very end of the page. This does not happen if you click on (for example) slide 2 or 3 and change to slide sorter view.

I think this should be improved, so I will send a report to our developers.

Hello,

the problem is fixed now and works in the next service pack.
