TextMaker and Office 2007

Post by r-vanhove » Tue May 15, 2007 6:07 pm

My office just upgraded to Office 2007.
Got troubles to read the word documents into TextMaker. I suspect this is due the new file format???
Also PlanMaker seems to suffer from the same fate. :o

Office 2007 intriduced a new file format, which cannot be read by our software yet. However, you can still save in good old Word 2003 .doc and Excel 2003 .xls file format. These files can be opened by our software, of course.
Additionally, we already work on filters for the new file format, but there is no fixed release date yet.

No. This will take longer. Filters for the Office 2007 are a huge piece of work, similar in size to the filters we did for DOC, XLS, and PPT.

Thats the wrong forum for Word 2007. In TextMaker you have to click on the button for "show/hide paragraph breaks, tabs and spaces" (see screenshot). There is a similar button in Word 2007.
