"frozen moment" installation

Post by engine » Thu May 03, 2007 5:36 pm

Every time I start up Textmaker, I always get the same tip. I always get the same four recent items at the bottom of the file menu. I always get the same message about normal.tmv (in use or write-protected) ...

It looks as though something is frozen. Perhaps I installed in the wrong place - currently, /user/local/office on an Ubuntu 6 machine. What should the permissions be on the textmaker executable?

TextMaker saves all the settings into a hidden folder of your home directory:

Code: Select all

~/.softmaker
Please be sure TextMaker is able to create and write to this directory.
