product key not valid

Post by LasseB » Thu Apr 21, 2016 11:34 am

The following issue on a SuSE 13.2 64bit desktop:
There was a Softmaker Office 2012 on the machine. I installed FO2016 with the rpm. Went fine, licence key wasn't accepted. "This product key is not valid for your computer. If you changed your hardware, please unlock the software again." Removed SMO 2012. Problem persisted, removed FO2016. Reinstalled, obtained a new key. Still, the same issue. Really bad, I can't open some old .tmd now, as I don't have the 2012 tar anymore. SMO2016 won't open existing tmd files. Really bad. All I want now is to get the tmd converted and then back to LibreOffice.

Please uninstall FreeOffice 2012 and 2016 and then install FreeOffice 2016 again following the instructions on the Tipps&Tricks page:

Does it still not work?

No it still doesn't work. One thing: It wasn't FreeOffice 2012, just the standard version.

We now updated the installation files and solved the issue you reported. Please uninstall the Office, delete the setup file and download the file again. We updated the files on our server and the issue should no longer occur after a new installation. Thank you!

Thank you, the issue is fixed. This time I wasn't even prompted for a key.
