How can one delete FreeOffice components?

Postby Alvin » Sat Jun 03, 2017 10:48 pm

I would like to delete the Presentations component of FreeOffice from one of my netbooks. Since I won't be doing presentation projects on that particular machine, it would be best to delete those files to recover the disk space. But the system will not allow me to do so because I am "not the owner" of the files. Is there any way to change the permissions granted to the end user with the terminal? Thx.

you should become superuser, and lauch your prefered filemanager.
For example, in a Linux Distro that uses sudo instead of su just do that under a terminal

sudo pcmanfm

or
sudo thunar

or

sudo nautilus

and once you are under root mode you can do all mistakes that you want
