PlanMaker Crashing

Postby georgeschulze » Tue Dec 20, 2016 7:45 pm

After I make an update to the attached file and do not save the changes , after 5 - 10 mins PlanMaker crashes.

Could you please look into this for me?

Thank you very much.

Hi georgeschulze,

I have downloaded the file and opened it on PlanMaker and made changes without saving, and it seems to be fine from my end.
Could you please advise what are the steps you are doing so I could replicate the issue?
Also did you receive an error message from PlanMaker after it crashes?

Please advise as it would help me diagnose the problem.

Thanks,

togononmj

OK thanks.
I just tested again and it crashed again.
I added a line to spreadsheet. Did not save. Left Planmaker.
AFter about 2 - 5 mins I received a message that Planmaker crashed.
I captured the message that is displayed.

I attached the file with the error message.

And when you restart, does PlanMaker offer to send a crash report?

Yes, I receive a message that asks if I want to send a report to PlanMaker. I tried but looks like I had a MAPI error. Not sure what that means.
There was no status info in the message.

It crashed again after I made some changes but did not save the changes.
I attached the two error messages I receive.

I am attaching the file again that I used. Please use it as the original I sent was a subset of this file.

That's too bad that your e-mail is not configured to allow sending a crash report.

Could you check your hard disk (probably the temp folder %temp%) for the file pmcrashreport.zip ? This would be the crash report that we need.

I cannot find that file (pmcrashreport.zip). I checked entire "C" drive.

Do you know how to configure MAPI to send the report?

That look like only hope now.

I have OUTLOOK and GMAIL for email.

1. Start the Windows tool "Default Progrrams". I describe what I see on Windows 7:
2. From the list of menu items choose "Set your default programs".
3. In the list of applications that appears now, choose "Outlook".
4. Click on "Choose defaults for this program"
5. Near the bottom there should be an entry about MAPI. Activate the checkbox.

Planmaker has not crashed since however. I will continue to monitor and update you as
time goes on.

OK no problems since 12/24 so I think it best to close this out and I will reopen if problem occurs in future.
