Preview pane in "open" dialogue - can it be disabled? [SOLVED]

Post by kgha » Fri Feb 05, 2016 9:29 am

In SM12, preview was an option (with its own button) when selecting a stored file for opening. In SM16 the preview pane is there all the time (and active).
No big fuss, really, but since I seldom (if ever) interested in a preview and the pane takes screenspace and CPU resources I would prefer to disable it as default. Is it possible? Can't find anything in the user manual (that seems to be designed for the Windows version mainly) or in Tools > Options.

There is the << button which hides the preview.
