Free Font

Post by wingco32 » Tue Jan 26, 2016 11:52 am

I have just downloaded and installed this month's free font (*.ttf version) to my Ubuntu 15.10 version of TextMaker 2016.

TextMaker can't see this font but LibreOffice Writer can.

I presume I will have to use the "Options/system/User defined" to find the font.

What is the path to this font in Ubuntu?

Thanks.

Hello,

follow these steps please:

1. Create a folder named fonts in your home directory.
2. Copy the font in that folder
3. Invoke "Tools->Options->System->User-defined font path" Add the path here.
4. Restart TextMaker.

Now the font is available.

Thanks for the reply but my 'Home' directory will not allow me to make a directory - The option is greyed out.

When I pressed the "Install" option, where was the font installed, perhaps I could use that path as 'Home' seems to be barred from me.

Rgds,
John

Try to create a folder in Home/SoftMaker. Does that work?
