Direct entry for unicode Characters

Post by CitizenM » Thu Dec 10, 2015 10:42 pm

Does Textmaker support direct entry for unicode characters?

For instance,

Hold [Ctrl] + [Shift]; then press "U", then the unicode, eg 03A9; then release [Ctrl] + [Shift] should display a greek Omega.

Are there any plans to facilitate this? It is just that if one knows the unicode, doing it this way is much faster than selecting from a menu of special characters.

Write the hex code into the document and press CTRL+Alt+Shift+F12. That will convert the code into a Unicode character. You can change the hotkey (CTRL+Alt+Shift+F12) in Tools=>Customise=>Keyboard Mappings=>Edit=>Group:"Tools"=>Command:"Unicode to hex value.
