Sorting by whole date

Post by Burch64 » Sun Apr 22, 2018 6:36 pm

I am trying to sort a spread sheet by issue date. But when I do this it only sorts by the month 1 through 12 and not the whole date ,year
example below is what I got after I sorted as you can see it sorts by month only. What am I doing wrong?

Please make sure to use the correct cell format (Date/Time).

Are you sure that your cells are numeric (formatted as date) and not just text? In the former case, sorting on dates works just fine with PlanMaker.

I originally did a copy and paste to set up the spreadsheet, so the column could have originally started as "text" but now click I on and highlight the column for issue date, click on format and select the date and time that I want click OK but get the same results.
