link to a folder,not a file

Post by dhlytle » Thu Feb 01, 2018 7:04 pm

I use links to keep an index of my most used work documents without a problem.

I would like to have a link to a folder in some cases in my index.

I have created one in the past that works fine to a folder.

Strangely, I cannot create another.

I have copied the one that works and tried to modify it to go to another folder in the same tree, but keep getting "file not found"
error. I know there are other way to create a shortcut to a folder in the OS (Win 7), but would like to have the ability within my index that is at my finger-tips.

What rocks should I look under to see why I can't duplicate my one link to a folder?

Many Thanks,,

Just put in the link (e.g. C:\foldername) in the format=>Hyperlink dialog. This should be accepted and will open the Windows Explorer if you click on the link.
