Opening a file, Hebrew font shows as [][][][][]

Post by moshebagelfresser » Thu Jun 11, 2015 6:18 pm

When I click on File Open in FreeOffice for Linux, latest version, only Latin file names the fonts are shown correctly. Not so if File names are in Hebrew, likewise when saving the file.
For example:
Latin (English)
abcdef.doc

If font name is Hebrew:

[][][][][][][][].doc
[][][][][].doc
[][][][][][][].odt

The above is also in the lower part of the File Menu showing File open history.

My Distro is Linux Mint 17.1 Mate Rebecca.
Hebrew Fonts are installed in both usr/share/fonts & usr/local/share/fonts. I also have them installed in Home/.fonts folder.

Please make sure that the font path is entered in Tools=>Options=>System. Does that help?

Unfortunately not. Freeoffice.com Textmaker didn't make any difference. I typed in /usr/local/share/fonts

Could you please send us a sample file and font to forum(at)softmaker.de referring to that thread? Thank you!
