BY DESIGN? OR BY BUG??

Post by SeaDevil » Tue Feb 05, 2013 7:05 pm

i just downloaded this software into LinuxMint 14 Xfce.
I opened all the programs, planmaker...etc. and the first thing i noticed was, the
difficulty in following the tree as there are NO NAMES by each directory.
If this is by design, It is absolutely a disgrace.

Am I the only one who has this problem?

the name for each directory will appear if you hover over it.

this needs work !

or does someone have a solution to this?

Could you please post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

ok, I took a screenshot picture.

In planmaker, i clicked on File Open...and this is what I get. I tried to type in a filename...and I thought the keyboard
quit working because whatever i typed in ...was invisible....the cursor moves...but nothing shows!! geez.

anyway, look at the picture and you will see what I see. I am sure this is NOT by design.

do i need to uninstall Softmaker and reinstall it again?

thank you for your help, I do appreciate it, I am just a little frustrated, is all.

By the way, this is in Linuxmint 14 xfce 64bit version, if that helps.

I now installed FreeOffice in Debian 6.0.5 (Gnome) and Fedora 18 32bit with xfce. I could not reproduce that problem and all folder names are visible in the File=>Open dialog. I installed the .rpm archive via the shell with root permissions (-su) and rpm -ivh. Could you please check if that works better for you?
