Customize Interface?

Post by PowerKord » Sun Feb 08, 2015 8:14 am

Greetings,

Is it possible to customize the basic TM interface? I want to change the baby blue color of the toolbar area to something else. But how?

Thanks.

Warm Regards,

Greetings,

No, I'm referring to the baby blue horizontal section at the very top, the Menu Bar. It appears you can't change this color.

Please tell me I'm wrong.

Regards,

vince

Dialog style changes also the toolbar background.

Greetings,

It's amazing how neither of two online reps seem to know their own software.

Dialog changes do NOT change the baby-blue colored menu bar, which is what I'm trying to do. I stated this explicitly.

Please offer me some good advice this time.

Vince, we know the software perfectly well.

You have been talking about the "toolbar" background and the "menu" background. From the context I assume you mean the toolbar background.

And that is controlled by Tools/Options/Appearance/Dialog style. If you have "Windows 7 (blue)" selected, you get a blue background. If you choose another dialog style, you will 50 different shades of gray.

Why don't you try it and report back?

It's amazing how someone who has just registered to this forum seems to know this software better than people using this software for decades...

BTW: If i change the dialogue-style to i.e. "Windows 2000", i get a nice grey background. If it's not the toolbar background you mean, a screenshot might be helpful...

Best regards

Changing Menu Bar Color

Post by PowerKord » Tue Feb 10, 2015 7:49 pm

Hello,

I'm not trying to be argumentative. But something is clearly getting lost in translation here.

If you carefully read every word of every post of mine, above, the misunderstanding should become clear.

The conclusion appears to be that the color of the MENU BAR (which to my eye appears to be baby blue) cannot be changed.

If there is a way to change the color of the MENU BAR, then please inform me.

Regards,

You mentioned "menu bar" color and "toolbar color" in previous posts. Please review the attached screenshot, so that we are sure we talk about the same thing:

1. The menu bar is the line that says File, Edit, View etc. In my configuration it is black on gray.
2. The toolbar is the blue area with the icons.

Re 1: This is controlled by your Windows Control Panel. If you want to change it, you need to do it there.
Re 2: This is controlled by Tools/Options/Appearance/Dialog style inside TextMaker, PlanMaker, and Presentations.
