Future versions of SoftMaker and licensing

Post by edim » Mon Jul 14, 2014 7:46 am

Hello, i'm about to buy softmaker 2012 but there's one thing holding me back. We are already in 2014, is there a upcoming 2014 edition? If i buy the 2012 edition, my licenses will be usable on the next edition of the suite?

Also, how do licenses works? As i'm a linux user i have to install a fresh system every 6 months (release cycle of the distribution such as ubuntu), every time that i re-install softmaker on a fresh installed system will it use a new license?

We are working on a successor of SoftMaker Office 2012, which we will probably release at the end of the year. As a owner if a SoftMaker Office 2012 license, you will receive a discounted offer for the new version as soon as it is available.

You can install SoftMaker Office for Linux as often as you want but on max. 3 PC's simultaneously.

The graphical interface will receive some update on the next version?

The developers are permanently working on the user interface.

Hi, Edim. I'm a Linux user also (Kubuntu), and am not affiliated with SoftMaker. When I've updated Kubuntu, it has not been necessary to reinstall SoftMaker Office.
