When you release Thunderbird, will the forum be under Softmaker or where it is now on it's own. Are you going to have your own program like you have with EmClient and the free program on it's own like it is now.

We will have our own Thunderbird forum here. Since we do not "own" Thunderbird, any other forums that exist outside of SoftMaker will continue to exist.

Pity. The “official” Mozilla-forums are full of valuable hints and advice which are not all already included in the FAQs or other help texts. Personally, I think there are already too many different ways to access the documentation, let me try : Mozillazine-Knowledge Base, Web-forum, mailing-lists/usenet (via G®), IRC.

Mister Kotulla, you need someone to follow all the discussions in all places and seek for intelligence in the articles of the knowledge base. I do not see, how a new forum should not be redundant?

When people buy SoftMaker Office 2016 with Thunderbird included, they expect (rightfully) support from us. We have beginning users, average users, advanced users – we can't tell them to go to some other forum because we would be waiting for them there...

What we have to think about is if we want to be present on the non-SoftMaker forums, too. That's a possibility, but also a question of manpower.

Thanks martin-k. The forums for Thunderbird will be here. You and your team will be able to add or delete options and updates for Thunderbird. That will be great.
