What happens with my old email?

Post by Kea » Thu Sep 27, 2012 12:53 pm

Now I have the registered version 2012 downloaded. But what happens when I install it? OK with Textmaker, Planmaker and so on, but will the installation of eM Client overwrite my old rules, folders and mail? I don't want to import it again as it is very many folders and EML files. Can I skip eM Client from the installation and go on using it as in the trial? Or can I make a security copy (of what?) and then copy it back to the new installation?

As far as I know, the full version of eM Client will simply "use" the existing e-mail databases.

It can never hurt to make a backup before. Instructions can be found here: http://www.softmaker.com/english/tipsem_en.htm
