Incomplete compatibility- Request for PPTX save format

Post by arobbo » Sat Oct 09, 2010 2:39 am

Dear SoftMaker Team,

With respect, I'm not fully convinced of your claim for Presentation 2010's "full compatibility with MicroSoft PowerPoint". Yes, translating *.PPTX files from colleagues into Presentations has been a dream, and I have been impressed on many occasions with the preservation of formatting and other 'bling' my colleagues choose to decorate their slides with. However, I have been disappointed on several occasions when my simple Presentations documents are opened by PowerPoint2010. The MicroSoft software takes delight in corrupting font sizes and selections, etcetera, in any files not of the new PPTX format. Can you please update your latest save options for PowerPoint2000/XP/2003 (2007), into PPTX or suggest an alternative method to solving this compatibility dilemma,

Appreciatively,
arobbo

Hello,

we are currently working on a better pptx support (read and write) for SoftMaker Presentations. We will inform you as soon as a new service pack is available.
