File causing a crash

Post by Gummby » Sat Nov 21, 2009 12:54 am

I have an old .XLS file which I converted to .PMD. Program crashed after I saved it. Then, when I went to open back up the .PMD document, it crashed immediately.

I've attached both docs for your review.

Well... I have good news and bad.

The bad news is, I took out the brackets in the file name and it opened fine. Thinking that it was the brackets, I opened the file with the brackets still in... and it did not crash...

The good new is... when I opened up the .pmd file... it crashed...So... whatever the problem is, I can duplicate it.
Cheers

Thank you for the bug report and the example file. I were able to reproduce the crash and informed the developers.

In the 'mortgage calculator' sheet is an invalid number in O12. If you remove it the file loads fine. I attached the repaired file.

Sven,

It seems rather an extreme reaction of the file to crash the program completely rather than simply show an error in a given cell. Or have I misunderstood the problem?

In this case it was just the wrong value in O12 that caused the problem.
