Ubuntu updates

Postby jimjutte » Sat Oct 03, 2009 5:56 am

Admittedly, I'm quite new at using linux, but is there a reason that one cannot update SM Office through the updates with other updates. For example, OOo can be done through the built-in update apps. Obviously not the "cutting edge" version, but at least recent stable ones. Or has this recently changed?
Cheers

Currently there is no update-option implemented in SoftMaker Office for Linux and the Service Pack you can download on www.softmaker.com/english/servpack_en.htm is only available for the Windows version.
Such an update-option is on our wishlist for upcoming versions. Currently it is necessary to download the latest installation package and install the Office again to "update" it to the newest revision.
