Dates in comments

Not sure if this counts as a bug, or just an annoying niggle, but it would be nice if dates in comments were in the standard UK format of day/month/year when the language is set to UK English, rather than the confusing US system of month/day/year.

Hello,

currently TextMaker takes the format of the date (dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy) from the System settings. If you have chosen US English as your regional settings the date will be month/day/year and if you have chosen UK English it will be day/month/year.

I will refer a feature request to our developers that TextMaker will take the time and date format from the user interface settings of TextMaker instead from the System settings.

As far as I'm aware, my system is set to UK English. Certainly GNOME says it is. Do you know what underlying file I'd need to check to make sure it's *really* set right?

Can you please tell us what Linux distribution you use?

Thank you!

Ok, please try the following commands in the shell:

echo $LANG

echo $LC_ALL

echo $LC_LANG

Can you please post the results here?

Thanks again :)

The results are:

ken@ken-laptop ~ $ echo $LANG
en_GB.UTF-8
ken@ken-laptop ~ $ echo $LC_ALL

ken@ken-laptop ~ $ echo $LC_LANG

(i.e. just a blank line for the second two commands). No idea if this is good or bad! :)

Hello,

the problem could be solved by our developers and won't occur in the next Beta.
