GNOME crash

Post by carandol » Mon Sep 15, 2008 5:41 pm

Just discovered a major bug when running TextMaker in Linux Mint Elyssa (an Ubuntu Hardy Heron derivative).

Switch to Object Mode
Select Insert Picture Frame
Draw picture frame in the document

Result: GNOME crashes. The cursor still moves, but nothing is selectable. The only way out of the crash is Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to logout.

This is without Compiz Fusion running, if that makes a difference. And it's on a Dell Inspiron 5100.

Hello,

we cannot reproduce that crash with Ubuntu 8.04. I referred your problem to our developers and will inform you as soon as we have more information.

This morning, after a reboot, it's working fine, so I don't know what that was about! I'll keep an eye on it in case it does it again...
