Slowdown typing Korean on MobilePro 900C

Postby sphinx32 » Sat Feb 28, 2009 3:10 pm

Hello,

I have installed trial version of textmaker 2008 on my NEC MobilePro 900C (CE .net 4.2) and having some issue for typing Korean.
When I typed Korean charactors, displaying charactors delays are so long (depends on how many char has typed, but
typically 5~6 seconds later, it displayed). I have autospell checker has disabled, and having still same problem.
I found some more interesting things;
- For English typing is acceptable delay.
- Tried PlanMaker 2008, and Korean typing delay was acceptable.

So, my question is, Delaying on Asian charactors are know issue or is there any setting on textmaker to solve this kind of delay?

Thanks in advance.

Just a quick question. Do you use the desktop version as well? Do you notice if this occurs on the desktop version as well? Or is this just a CE issue for you?

I have installed desktop verion of textmaker, and it has no problem of this kind of issue.

I'm currently encountered this problem with only Win CE on MobilePro 900C.

Thanks.

Are you using Korean fonts with any other applications? Are you seeing this with any of them? I am just trying to rule out the operating system as part of the problem for the experts when they return on Monday. :)

Yes, I'm using Korean font with Korean IME (called diopen), and other application, (e.g., pocket word) has no problem at all.
If you would like to test with Korean font (diopen), I can send it to you for test.

Textmaker 2006 also having some other issue. This version is not allow typing Korean charactor at all. It is Okay for typing English.

Thanks for your support.

Okay. Sven (from SoftMaker) will likely either answer you in a few hours or send it to the technical folks as a question.
Cheers
