Conditional Formatting

Post by JohnMOwens » Wed Dec 17, 2008 2:57 am

I use conditional formatting in Excel 2007 (saving as .xls). Generally I just use a background color. However, whenever PlanMaker opens a file with this, it invariable changes the background color from whatever it is to Light Yellow.

If I change the background color of the conditional format in PlanMaker, save it, and then open it in Excel, Excel will show the color chosen in PlanMaker.

This happens in both the release version of PlanMaker 2008 as well as with the 503 update.

I just tried to get around this by setting a background color for the entire sheet and having the conditional formatting apply "no color". Applying no color worked, but the normal background color was changed to Light Yellow.

Does this happen with any file created in Excel 2007, or only a specific one? If the latter, this could be because you redefined the color palette in Excel. Then things become messy, even inside Excel.

Can you mail a sample file to forum (at) softmaker.de and refer to this thread?
