SoftMaker Office for Linux does not offer an ARM version. The potential target market is too small. This is not only about providing binaries, but about setting up an infrastructure for building, testing, supporting, building service packs, etc.

This is quite certainly a font issue as not many fonts contain these characters and what you are describing looks like the replacement mechanism.

Open Insert | Symbol and verify that these characters are really part of the specific font you use.

Are you sure you are running the current revision 1060 of SoftMaker Office?

Many of the paragraphs have the flag "Keep together" set which forces TextMaker to format them the way it does. Select the whole text and remove the flag.

Please download and install FreeOffice 2021 for Mac again, as this bug is now fixed.

In contrast to TextMaker, Microsoft Word does not support multiple columns inside text boxes, that is why it cannot be stored in DOCX format. Use TMDX format for that.

Open TextMaker's Print dialog box and ensure that the correct printer driver is selected there. The "Universal/Text Only" driver is bogus, it should not be used.

SoftMaker Office 2016 is long out of maintenance. But it seems the latest Windows 11 updates by Microsoft fix the problem. If you have all the updates and it still doesn't work, reinstall SoftMaker Office 2016.

Your problem is not with SoftMaker but with 185.125.190.52 (ppa.launchpadcontent.net) which cannot be contacted.

(The deprecation warning for the PGP keys can be ignored at this point. It is just a warning).
