Re: Metro UI, Windows 8, and WOA
SoftMaker isn't the only company complaining about the lack of C++ support for Windows Phone. Microsoft has recognized this and the rumor is that C++ support will be in the next release called Tango. http://www.liveside.net/2012/01/28/windows-phone-tango-will-support-120-languages-c-development-sup...

Re: Metro UI, Windows 8, and WOA
Don't hope for a Windows Phone version any time soon. Microsoft doesn't allow C++ applications to be built for Windows Phone.

Re: Metro UI, Windows 8, and WOA
The shabby thing that Microsoft is doing is only allowing MS Office and Internet Explorer to run on the classic desktop on ARM CPUs. While they don't explicitly say that you can't create classic applications on Win8/ARM, you won't be able to sell them through the app store. And the app store is the ...

Re: Metro UI, Windows 8, and WOA
SoftMaker Office will run on Windows 8 on x86 using the classic interface. As for supporting Metro, we are looking at it. Re: Softmaker Office 2006 - language files
In SoftMaker Office 2006, only TextMaker was available in Hungarian, and I am not sure the setup program handled this correctly at all. During the Christmas holidays, we offered SoftMaker Office 2008 for free, and this one is fully translated to Hungarian. We'll keep the download link active for a f...

Re: Misinformation in a review
Well, send them an e-mail pointing out their errors. Maybe you have more luck than we had. We sent them an e-mail listing the errors they made in a review of TextMaker, and they never fixed these errors. It seems they don't listen or don't care.
