Re: Downloadable software

The download links work for several years. We don't commit to keep them working forever, but right now even the ones from 15 years ago still work.

Re: Equation feature

We will be working on our own equation editor which will not use OLE. We are already have our own equation renderer in SoftMaker Office 2018 on all platforms (we needed that for DOCX support).

An Equation editor is available in TextMaker for Windows but not in the Linux version.
Thanks.

Why is that if I may ask?
It is an OLE server that we licensed from another company. OLE servers are Windows-specific.

The software is improved all the time, but since we could never reproduce your issue, we simply don't know.

Better, actually!

I find the 32 bit Windows version far more reliable.
There is no difference in reliability between them.

I simply don't understand your report. Can you explain it differently and attach a screenshot?

Re: SoftMaker Updater Tool not working

Most likely you are using Windows 8. The updater had a bug that caused it to work on every version Windows except for Windows 8. Please download the latest full-version installer again and install from that: http://www.softmaker.com/en/softmaker-office-download This gives you the latest SoftMaker Of...

Re: Formula's - Can we choose cels by highlighting (like in excel)?

With PlanMaker: 1. Enter 1, 2, 3 in adjacent cells. 2. Go to an empty place in the worksheet, with no cells with data above or left. 3. Click AutoSum -> you see =SUM(), with the caret flashing between the parentheses. 4. Now select the range you want to sum, press Enter. As far as I can see, PlanMak...

Re: Formula's - Can we choose cels by highlighting (like in excel)?

When you click AutoSum, PlanMaker automatically determines a suitable cell range. This is above the cell where you are doing the summing.

What you are looking for instead is done using Insert > Function, selecting the SUM function from the list and then selecting the cell range.

Re: One Window

SoftMaker Office gives the choice to open documents in tabs or separate windows.

SoftMaker FreeOffice always opens them in separate windows.

If you prefer English, you can replace sv_SE.utf8 with en_US.utf8 or en_UK.utf8
