Fonts look awful

Using 2018 beta on Tumbleweed and the fonts ( both UI and document ) are terrible
With font smoothing off it looks like the 1980's with it on as subpixel they are blurred

Can someone offer any thoughts

Is there any plans for a service pack in the near future to resolve some of the issues
users have found ?

Re: Duplex

The problem is that there is no way to alter the duplex settings. If CUPS is set to duplex everything it obviously does. What if you want to duplex some documents and not others. In Libreoffice/Word and the likes you have options in the print dialog to turn duplex on and off. Also what if you want t...

Re: Duplex

We run the Linux version of Softmaker - We want to junk MSOffice completely and only use LibreOffice and Softmaker if possible. Word is rubbish under Windows, it's doubly rubbish under Wine The printers tested are are Ricoh and HP ( mpc2800 mpc5000 and hp4250 ) The Ricoh printers just print single s...

Re: Duplex

The reason I ask is that we currently have MSOffice on machines running under wine
If we could get Softmaker to print well we could get rid of MSOffice completely and my
life would be a lot easier !!

Re: Duplex

Every other application can print duplex. Softmaker doesn't regardless
of what you check. Also there seems to be no way to tell Textmaker
to duplex on a particular edge.

Re: Printing fails on some machines

I'm beginning to think it's the same bug LibreOffice suffers from

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50784

As it doesn't seem to happen now I've changed the cups
server timeout to 90 mins

Duplex

How do you get it to print duplex
1 ) the double sided printing check box doesn't seem to do anything
2 ) what if you want to change the duplex from short to long edge
