Re: Misplaced drawing objects

I've noticed this same problem! The current TextMaker seems a bit better than earlier versions, but there are still some errors. Please see pages 8 & 9 of the attached DOCX file for examples of this. Wayne

Re: Font/text for TOC entries

martin-k, Thanks very much! I didn't realize the "linkage" between the "Header" styles and the "TOC" styles. Everything now seems to work as you described, so my only remaining question is how to handle the (rather unusual) case when the text that is wanted in the TOC d...

Font/text for TOC entries

In order to use the insert TOC feature in TextMaker it seems necessary to define a paragraph style (e.g. "Heading 1") to each entry that is to appear in the TOC. Sometimes, though, that style may not be appropriate for BOTH the text in the document and the TOC entry. For example, my docume...

Re: { TC } Table of Contents field not being handled

In MS Word the TOC generator can use EITHER selected "headers" OR manually entered {TC} fields to create a table of contents. Unfortunately, TextMaker doesn't seem to offer the second option, so it is not usable in those cases where using "headers" is not appropriate...

Re: { TC } Table of Contents field not being handled

I've attached an extract from a much larger DOCX file that illustrates the problem with {TC} fields. This example includes a Table of Contents that was generated by Word 2007. TextMaker 2018 (unlike Word) doesn't appear to have an option to delete an existing Table of Contents, and if I manually del...

{ TC } Table of Contents field not being handled

I've just used TextMaker 2018 to open a 250+ page document with a large number of Chapters (i.e. Word sections). The beginning of each chapter includes a manually entered {TC} entry. In Word, these {TC} entries can be used to generate an extensive Table of Contents, but with TextMaker 2018: 1) It do...

Re: A table option in Word that is missing in TextMaker

Jossi, I realize that both Word and TextMaker allow character spacing to be reduced but, as you mention, this is a bit of trial-and-error approach. The situation in my case is even more complicated since the DOCX file in question is being generated by a Python program, so there is no real opportunit...

A table option in Word that is missing in TextMaker

I've been testing TextMaker 2018 with a number of fairly complex DOCX files and have not found any problems. The placing of headers & footers now seems to be correct, and the handling of odd/even pages seems to work fine. The only problem that I've run into so far when editing Word-created files...

Re: Something wrong with TWAIN interface?

Sven: Well, I downloaded the Win 8.1 driver for the Canon 8800F and it turned out to be the same 2009 driver that was already installed! The bottom line is that the WIA interface seems to work fine, but the TWAIN interface just doesn't work under Windows 10 - not the fault of FlexiPDF! Thanks again,...

Re: Something wrong with TWAIN interface?

Sven: I'm running Win 10 (X64), and Device Manager shows the scanner driver to be version 13.0.5.56 supplied by Canon and dated 5/7/2009. Perhaps this is a "left over" driver from some earlier operating system??? From the Canon web site: "There is no driver for the OS Version you sele...

Something wrong with TWAIN interface?

I have a Canon 8800F flatbed scanner whose TWAIN interface works fine with programs such as Irfanview. However, whenever I try to use the TWAIN interface with FlexiPDF 2017 Pro (latest version 1.06 Win) I get the error message shown in the attached file. I CAN use the WIA interface, but that doesn't...

Re: Any more flexible way to change text background color?

Sven,

I would expect Acrobat and FlexiPDF to display my file in the same way. The problem is that I'd like to use FlexiPDF to CHANGE the while background color to light tan (as in the other clipping).

Any more flexible way to change text background color?

I have a number of PDF files that contain snippets of newspaper articles. In some cases the background color of an article is a light tan, while in other cases the background may be white. For consistency I'd like the background color to be the same for all the articles, and the light tan is really ...
