Re: iPhone sales are estimated to reach 10 millions soon

FWIW I've been a SoftMaker customer since 2003 but the product is becoming increasingly irrelevant to me sadly. When I first bought the product I used a Compaq iPAQ h5450 running some version of Pocket PC, which I later 'upgraded' to an iPAQ h1945 running some version of Windows Mobile. I've long si...

Re: TextMaker for OS X

BootCamp was released in 2006 - not in the last couple of years. Besides I'm pretty tired of developers using the excuse that "if you just buy a Windows license for 150€ then you have no problem using our software". I've been following your company for ten years - talk about a dedicated cu...

Re: iPhone sales are estimated to reach 10 millions soon

Amazing how silent SoftMaker are on this issue... you could move into this space with a very small investment. Nobody is expecting you to implement a full fledged word processor to start with. After all, what most people want is something like Documents To Go and you could easily outperform those gu...

Re: TextMaker for OS X

Hello, I asked our developers and will inform you here as soon as I have more information. Any news about this? I would happily purchase an OS/X version at double the price of what you sell the current Office suite for. But at that price it would have to have a native user interface - not based on ...

Re: iPhone sales are estimated to reach 10 millions soon

Iphone sales last quarter were 7,4 million and on top of that comes 10 million ipods of which a substantial amount will have been ipod touches with the ability to run applications. Can you imagine how many iphone/ipod touch owners would be willing to pay between 8 and 15 euro for a lightweight versi...

Because they never bothered to learn the OS/X API's despite being urged for years to do so by early movers in technology.

Re: Mac OSX again

For those of you interested in a word processor for Mac OS/X but disappointed to find that Text Maker is not available on this platform I'd like to point your attention to the fact that Mellel is presently available as part of a package deal at mupromo.com, where you get 7 applications including Mel...

Re: Mac OSX again

Marketshare for OS/X up from 4% in 2006 to 8% in 2008... perhaps this changes the cost/benefit calculation for porting SoftMaker to the Mac? When did you last do that cost/benefit calculation? In 2004? For what it's worth Linux has a market share of 0,6% - I guess it must have been an easy port. Sou...

Well it did take Microsoft 4 years to produce this version so it seems to have been a hard task even for Microsoft's dedicated Mac developers..

Re: TextMaker for OS X

Congratulations on your recent release of Textmaker 2008. Just to let you know I purchased Textmaker for Windows 2002 quite a while back and was a happy user of the application for several years. I never did come around to upgrading it to TextMaker 2005 however and I won't upgrade it to 2008 either....
